On my last post I showed you amazing marble constructions in the Omeya era in Spain and I mentioned that marble is so pure and beautiful that the pass of the centuries does not affect it, so marble constructions are still admired. Therefore, today I will talk about 5 wonderful marble construction replicas which were made as big projects and also are admired as the originals constructions. These include La Alhambra, la fontana di Trevi, El Taj Mahal, La torre inclinada de Pisa and el Partenón.

5) The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee:
This monument had two stages; the first monument was built to be the centerpiece of a fair in 1897 along with other buildings such as the pyramids of Egypt. Then in 1920 the monument was demolished and it was replaced with a second version which was built with concrete.
The original monument was made with marble from Penteli mountain which was about 16 kilometers in the northeast of Athens and which 22,000 tons were used.
